Main Terms and Conditions of Room Hire

We have only a few conditions relating to the hire of rooms at Angeldale. These should not restrict the normal activities and freedoms of the majority of our guests going about their business.

Smoking, Food and Drink:  Angeldale is a non smoking establishment. Smoke of any kind will set off our fire alarm system. Additional cleaning and room airing charges will be made should this condition be disregarded. The same applies to food and drink stains Red Wine/Curry etc. Registration & Payment:  All guests should register on arrival and any outstanding payments should be made on registration. ‘Booking in’ after 10pm without prior arrangement will attract a ‘waiting up’ fee of £5.00 per hour or part of.      Credit card bookings: payment will be taken as soon as details are supplied, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where payment is being sent by post and is not received two weeks prior to the booking date, we will assume you to have cancelled by default and attempt to relet the room. (see cancellation policy below)  Visitors and Pets For security, insurance and fire regulation purposes, guests may not invite visitors onto the premises without the knowledge and permission of the proprietors. No pets allowed.  Cancellations: Cancellation or leaving before the last date you have booked in, will not entitle you to a refund. Once you have booked a room, regardless of whether you have paid a deposit or not, you have entered into a contract and are obliged to pay, in full, for the nights on which you have booked the room.  If we accept credit card details for a reservation in lieu of ‘cash on arrival’,  payment will be deducted on cancellation. Should you advise us of your intention to cancel giving us at least two weeks notice, we will consider a refund, less admin charges, on the basis that we are able to relet the room for the whole period of your booking. This is totally discretionary, based on goodwill and we are under no obligation to do this. For guests arriving unbooked, taking up residence and then deciding they cannot meet our terms and conditions, a minimum £10 admin and cleaning charge will be deducted from any applicable refund. Insurance: Just as you would take out travel insurance for trips abroad, we recommend that you insure against cancellation of your booking with us.  Transfers You cannot transfer your booking to a third party without our agreement and in any case that party must communicate direct with us in order that we can confirm them as replacement guests willing to accept our terms and conditions. Duty of Care: All guests and visitors have a legal 'duty of care' whilst on the premises, not to engage in activities likely to cause harm or injury to themselves or others and to report anything they believe to be hazardous.
